Memorial Day 2013

Enjoy some great food and hopefully some time off today.

While you are doing that, make sure you take a moment to remember the warriors who have paid the ultimate price so that we can enjoy Mondays off.

This isn’t cliche for me. My entire life is dedicated to serving the soldiers and families that serve all of us. This is not the day to thank veterans. This is not the day to “bless America” and sing songs of our flag. This is the day to pause and remember the men and women who literally left it all on the battlefront to ensure our safety on the homefront.

While you are praying for their families and those who are currently in harms way, make sure you pray for the day when:

“He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation,
nor will they train for war anymore.” – Isaiah 2:4
