I know work sucks right now, I know you feel like you are drowning. I know your life feels like a never ending journey through pain, disappointment, fear, anxiety, and regret. I know because I have been down that road too. It is awful. However, that road does not reflect reality.
Even though you may feel all alone, God has not abandoned you. How do we know?
He’s given us His word.
“God is not man, that he should lie,or a son of man, that he should change his mind.Has he said, and will he not do it?Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? I am with you always, to the end of the age.I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” (Numbers 23:19;Matthew 28:20;John 14:18)
He’s given us his spirit
I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. (John 14:16-17)
He’s given us each other
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too. (2 Corinthians 1:3-5)
Even though you may feel all alone, God has not abandoned you.
