By far, the hardest day for a pastor is Monday. Monday isn’t hard because pastors preach their hearts out on Sunday and are exhausted. Sundays are tough mentally and physically. However, if you (pastor) are so exhausted that you feel like giving up after every Sunday you need to either have a talk with Jesus about your vocation or put down the fried chicken and start doing some exercise. Monday isn’t hard because of discouragement about numbers. I used to ride the roller coaster of numbers and I am glad I got off of that crazy train. We count people because people count. However, if you (pastor) are in this for money or crowds you are in the wrong game.
Monday is hard for one reason:
On Monday, we get to practice what we preach.
Thank God for Mondays.
