“We must face the sad fact that at the eleven o’clock hour on Sunday when we stand to sing, we stand in the most segregated hour in America…and the most segregated school is Sunday school.” – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
“Ministry leaders are claiming they want to share the gospel with ‘all people’, but their sanctuaries and their hearts are communicating that they want to share the gospel with those that look like them.” – Scott Williams
Racism is sin. Stereotyping is a socially constructed term for unjustified judgment, which is also sin. When we say, “Yes” to Jesus we are saying, “No” to hatred. When we say, “Yes” to Jesus we are laying down our right to be right. Accepting the grace of God obligates us to share the love of God with ALL.
Today is more than just a day off.
We must be the dream. Everyday.
